How To Root Unroot Samsung Galaxy S5 Mini G800H G800F In Easy Way

Hello Fandroid, this is a step by step tutorial to show Rooting and Unrooting of Samsung Galaxy S5 Mini G800H & G800F. This tutorial show you a safe method to root and unroot without a data loss and without harming your device unless you will do something wrong during following my instructions. Dont use rooting to pirate applications and games, only use it for productive work. I am showing you this tutorial, because lot of people are worried about the S5 storage and want to transfer games in to their external sd card to play games and as well as they want to connect a PS3 controller with their S5 MINI. However rooting helps you to overclock CPU speed as well as many other things. But to keep it simple stay with the basics.Please note this method trip your knox and you wouldnt able to claim a warranty of your phone, otherwise it will not harm your device until you do something wrong.

Please follow all the instructions carefully as both variants have different methods to get root

To Root your S5 Mini in this tutorial you need two things :

1. Samsung Kies: http://www.samsung.com/uk/support/usefulsoftware/KIES/JSP

Download a Samsung Kies from a Samsung Official Website directly to make sure you have correct drivers installed in your computer for your device. Make sure you are downloading a correct file from below links as G800H and G800F have different files to root and the methods are also little bit different.

2. Download Odin Software and extract it using a winrar on your pc, this file will be the same for both variants.

3. Download G800H firmware file with root on your PC. It should be look like a below picture after downloading

Extract above downloaded file and you will get tar file inside the folder like a below picture

Please not that above file is downloaded for G800H not G800F. For G800F download a below file

4. Download CF Auto Root File for G800F to root and its look like a below picture in your PC

You dont have to do anything with the above picture file just download it no need to extract. Please note G800F file is smaller than G800H file to root, so dont get conscious why the file is small

STEP 1:

Now once you have installed a Samsung Kies and open it with your S5 Mini connected with your computer, it will automatically detect your phone and install all the necessary hardware of your phone in your computer. When you connect your phone with your pc it will look like a below picture in Samsung Kies. The below picture is of S4 Mini, but your phone look like a same so dont get confused.

After doing this step, make sure you have closed down a Samsung Kies because now we have installed all the neccessary drivers on our pc for S5 MinI

STEP 2:

Now you have to open ODIN Folder and you have to press a file which is Odin3 (Run as Administrator and make sure your phone is disconnected from computer). After opening it you will see a window like below picture.

After opening this Odin file you have to turn off your phone by pressing power on and off key and when its get completley off PRESS (POWER ON AND OFF KEY + HOME BUTTON + VOLUME DOWN KEY AT THE SAME TIME). This will get you in to a downloading mode like a below picture in your phone. Captions are of s4 mini but on s5 mini the procedure will be the same.

After getting in to a downloading mode you have to press a UP VOLUME KEY ON YOUR PHONE and you will see a window like below picture on your phone

Now when you see a above window connect your S5 Mini with your pc through micro usb lead and you will see a below picture like window on your PC

Here you can witness that Odin (Id-com) section has become blue in above picture. Now you have to press PDA in Odin and you have to search for a G800HXXU1ANGD_SER_ROOT_NO_KNOX.tar file which you have downloaded to root your S5 Mini G800H. For G800F you have to search for a cf-auto-root-sm_g800f-kminilte-xxu1ang7.tar file that you have downloaded to root. PLEASE NOT USE CORRECT FILES FOR BOTH VARIANTS AS STATED ABOVE. Watch below pictures for full illustration the first picture show file of G800H and the second picture show G800F file.

Now double tap on the file it will be added to Odin and press Start in Odin =and leave your phone as it is. After starting a process you will see a window like below picture in your phone with downloading bar

In your pc you will see a below picture

Green Box will be highlighted in Odin just above the blue box which illustrates that you have did all the things correct. If you are rooting G800F, this process is not going to take too much time in reebooting your device with super user, but if you are rooting G800H it will take time to download as well as in booting up the system. So please dont get panic.

HOW TO UNROOT

Its very easy to Unroot Samsung Galaxy Mini both variants after rooting them. Make sure you have installed proper drivers by installing Kies on your PC. If you have followed my steps to root your device, you must have all the drivers installed by now. If you have not did rooting by looking at the above tutorial, then just have a quick go at Rooting process (Step 1). To unroot you need three things which are going to take little bit longer than rooting your phone. Please note to download the firmwares from the below file you have to register yourself on Sam Mobile site, registration is free of cost and worth to have to manually access below files.

1. Download a firmware for Samsung Galaxy S5 Mini G800H from sam mobile site:

Install USB driver for your device on your computer- Download Samsung USB Driver

Points to be noted:

If you are using any Custom ROM such as- CyanogenMod, Paranoid Android, AOKP, SLIM ROMs etc, then it�ll replaced by this official Stock ROM
Custom Recovery (CWM or TWRP Recovery) will be replaced by Stock Recovery

Download Android 4.2.2 VRUAMI9 Firmware for Galaxy S3 Mini G730V from the above list
Download Odin 3.09
Switch off your phone and boot Galaxy S3 Mini G730V into Download Mode by pressing and holding the Volume Down+Home+Power buttons (long press until the boot screen appear), now press Volume Up key to proceed to Download Mode.
Extract the downloaded Odin3.07 zip file and run the Odin3 v3.07.exe file as an administrator (Right click on the .exe file and click on Run as administrator)
Now connect your Galaxy S3 Mini G730V to your computer via USB cable
In Odin3 screen, you should see a COM Port number like �0:[COM7]� at ID:COM section and �Added!� text at the message box. This means your device has been detected by Odin3.
Make sure that, only the �Auto Reboot� and �F. Reset Time� options are checked.
Now, extract the downloaded firmware zip file, you�ll find a firmware file with extension .tar.md5
In Odin screen, click on PDA button and select the firmware file with .tar.md5 extension (The firmware file look something like: G730VXXDLJ5_G730VODDDLI7_INU.tar.md5)
Now, click on the Start button to begin the installation process, wait few moments.
Once completed, you would see �PASS!� message in ID:COM port having green background
Your phone should automatically reboot after completion
You can now disconnect your phone from computer

First, download and install a custom recovery. If you already had a custom recovery installed on your device then skip this step.

Now in TWRP, create a Nandroid backup (Recommended) of your device for safer side, if anything goes wrong.

How to set up Nokia Messaging e mail account on my Nokia N97 or N97 mini device

You can set up your e-mail account by using the e-mail setup wizard in your device. The wizard allows you to set up the following types of e-mail accounts:

POP / IMAP internet mail account for direct access to e-mail server. With this e-mail account you need to manually update your mailbox or retrieve the messages at defined times.
Nokia Messaging mail account. This is Nokia consumer service where you can automatically synchronize your mailbox ("push" service) with popular internet based e-mail services (e.g. Yahoo! Mail, Google Mail, Windows Live Hotmail, Ovi Mail) as well as with POP / IMAP servers.
Mail for Exchange mail account. With this e-mail type you get access to Microsoft Exchange corporate e-mail

This article describes how to set up the Nokia Messaging e-mail account (case 2 above). The mailbox will be added in Menu > Applications > Email.

Note that the Nokia Messaging service may not be available in all countries and operator networks.

Start the e-mail setup wizard. You can find the wizard in the following ways:

Select Set up e-mail if shown on your home screen.
Select Menu > Applications > Sett. wizard > E-mail setup (or Menu > Applications > E-mail setup).
Select Menu > Messaging > Options > Settings > E-mail > Mailboxes > Options > New mailbox.

When the setup wizard starts, select the following (note that the questions may vary depending on the Nokia Messaging version in your device):

Select Start.
Select OK if prompted to install Nokia Email client.
Select Yes when prompted to allow the application to use the network to send or receive data. The setup wizard will need to access the network in order to complete your configuration. Depending on your operator contract, this may involve some data transfer charges. Wait for the wizard to establish a network connection.
Select Start when prompted to start the E-mail setup
If prompted to select the E-mail service, select your service provider from the list (Ovi Mail, Yahoo! Mail, Gmail, Windows Live Hotmail etc.).
Enter your E-mail address and select OK.
Enter your E-mail password and select OK.
If prompted to add the email address to your Nokia Messaging account, allow Nokia Messaging account to be activated or the email address to be added to your account (Yes! Activate my Nokia Messaging account or Add to my Nokia Messaging account)

After this, the mailbox will be created and can be accessed by selecting Menu > Applications > Email. If you want to add the mailbox to the home screen, long press an empty space on home screen, select Add content and then E-mail widget. If you have several mailboxes configured, the desired mailbox can be selected in the widget settings (long press the E-mail widget and select Settings). One mailbox at a time can be viewed on the home screen.

The mailbox settings can be modified later on by selecting Menu > Applications > Email > Options > Tools > Settings.

- Take out its battery for 10 seconds, Then put it in again.

- Press and hold Volume Up + Home Keys, Then press Power.

- Keep pressing the above keys until Samsung logo appears,Then release all keys.

- Wait until you are into Factory reset / System Recovery menu.

- Use Volume Down key to scroll down and select Wipe Data / Factory Reset option.

- Use Power button to confirm the operation.

- You need to use the Volume Down key again to select "Yes -- delete all user data"

- Use Power button to confirm the operation one more time.

- After performing the hard reset, Select Reboot System Now option, And confirm it using Power button.

- Now the phone will reboots, Wait for it to be fully on and then you can start using it.

Notice: The Hard Reset / Factory Reset operation will delete anything that are saved in your phones internal memory, So make a backup of your data in case you can access them.

1. Download GDesk.rar from following link

5. Google Aplication (gapps-jb-20130301-signed), download Disini

How to Install CMW (ClockWorkMod) via Odin:
1. Install USB Drivers on Computers
2. Connect phone to PC using data cable
3. Log in to Download Mode, turn off your phone trick then press VOLUME UP + DOWN +POWER + MENU) After it says Samsung, loose power button.
4. Follow the figure below

5.The installed, turn the HP and press (VOLUME UP + DOWN + POWER + MENU), remove thepower button after it says samsung.

Next Step Install Custom ROM 4.2.2 JB following way:
1. Copy the file right-cm-10.1--Unofficial 20,131,011 jenad to SD Card
2. Turn off the HP, in CWM mode (VOLUME UP + DOWN + POWER + MENU), remove the power button after it says samsung.
3. Backup data on the internal storage
4. wipe data
5. wipe cache partition
6. wipe Dalvik cache
7. install zip from sd card / chose zip -> install rom to complete
8. Go back -> Mount and stroage -> mount system first
9. Install zip from sd card / chose zip -> install GAPPS to complete
10. reboot

(Wait 5 s / d 10 Minutes, And Welcome to Jelly Bean OS):

NB:
1. file manager can not detect sd-Ext: install ROOT EXPLORER / in playstore
2. Enabling Developers Option and Performance Settings: Settings / About Phone / Press Build Number 10X
3. Ill be able to connect to pc incoming settings -> Storage -> touch menuselect USB computer connection -> Mass storage checklist
4. WiFi overcome death itself, go Settings> WiFi> Touch menu> Advanced>Turn off "WiFi Optimization"
