And Now when Nougat 7.0 has been officially released we are here with the Guide which will help you to update your redmi note 3 in Latest android Version . Before going to the Guide Here are some Prerequisites :-
- Make sure you are using Redmi note 3 Snapdragon Variant .
- Make sure there is More then 70% battery available in your smartphone .
- Cm14 For redmi note 3 is still in Beta phase and once it gets released you will be able to upgrade .
- As this is a custom rom so we recommend you to follow each and every step carefully .
- Active internet Is required to download the update .
Upgrade Xiaomi redmi Note 3 to Android N 7.0 Nougat .
- First of all Download Cm14 for redmi note 3 Kenzo .
- After Downloading Connect your Smartphone to Pc through Usb Cable .
- Now Copy the Downloaded Cm14 in root of Sdcard or Internal Memory .
- After Copying Disconnect Smartphone and Make a reboot .
- Now go to Updater app and tap on the Menu button .
- As soon as you tap on menu button you will see many option .
- Choose Reboot to recovery mode .
- Now after booting in Recovery mode you Will again see many options . Just choose .
- Wipe Data / Wipe Cache / Wipe Cache Partition .
- After Wiping everything Select Install .
- Now Choose the Cm14 custom rom you have downloaded earlier .
- Now Tap on Yes Flash .
- As soon as you tap on yes the Flashing will start .
- Around 5 Minutes later you will get a Successful notification .
- Now just go back to the Main menu and choose Reboot .
- Thats All !!!!! You have successfully Update Xiaomi redmi note 3 to Android n 7.0 Nougat .

2. Need Latest custom Recovery installed (Like CWM OR TWRP). If you dont know how to install custom recovery on your Redmi Note 3 then watch this video tutorial or follow the post link.
3. AOSP Android oreo Rom for Redmi Note 3 zip file. (Download this file from the link given below).
4. No need to download Gapps for this rom because Rom have inbuilt Gapps.
1. First take a full backup of your current rom in to your pc.
2. Download UnOfficial AOSP Android oreo Rom for Redmi Note 3 zip file and from the given links on your pc.
3. Boot your phone into recovery mode using key combinations. Or if you dont know How to boot in to twrp recovery mode then google it
4. Go to Wipe section and Wipe data factory reset, Cache partition, Dalvik Cache and Format the System partition.
5. Now move your files from the pc (AOSP Android oreo Rom file)
6. Now go to install section and select AOSP Android oreo rom file and flash it. It will take some time to flash.
7. Now reboot your phone. It will take some time to first hoot.
. 9. Now finally Android O (Oreo) installed on your Redmi Note 3
9. Done & Enjoy.

Heres a tutorial on how to install Android Nougat-based CyanogenMod CM 14.1 custom ROM on Xiaomi Redmi 3 and 3 Prime series.
Xiaomi announced to release Marshmallow-based MIUI v8.0 to the Mi 2 series, which was unveiled way back in 2012. Even Google doesnt offer software support to its Nexus series this long.
However, Xiaomi is a bit slow in delivering firmware updates to its devices. Thats where custom ROM come into play, as they offer latest features in quick time. Among the numerous third-party ROM developers in the market, CyanogenMod is the most popular. They have a bunch of dedicated freelance software developers who release timely updates to almost all Android-branded devices in the market.
Prerequisites

Step 2: Connect Xiaomi Redmi 3/3 Prime to the computer
Step 3: Place the Android Nougat ROM into the phones storage memory
[Note: Users are advised to paste the .zip file in the storage root folder, not in any other folder.]
Step 4: Turn off device and disconnect it from PC
Step 5: Perform Recovery mode sorties by long pressing Volume (Down) + Power buttons
Step 6: Once entering the TWRP settings menu, clear phones memory (full) by selecting Wipe option. Once done, select � Swipe to Factory Reset perform factory reset
Step 7: Return to TWRP settings and tap Install by the selecting .Zip file in the phones memory downloaded from PC
Step 8: Come back to TWRP menu setting to approve the installation by tapping Swipe to Confirm Flash
Step 9: Flashing of the custom ROM begins and after few minutes, a message Successful appears on the screen, thus completing installation
Step 10: If faced with boot loop problem, navigate back to TWRP settings, and select Wipe cache/dalvik. This procedure will help resolve any issue with regard to custom ROM installation

How to Root Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Snapdragon 650 variant
If you are looking forward to rooting your Redmi Note 3 and have the custom ROMs, you first will need a custom recovery. For that, the developers have managed to develop a TWRP 3.0.0, the latest materialistic recovery. Keeping noted that this rooting and flashing TWRP method works only with the Snapdragon 650 version and not with the MTK versions of the phones. Follow the below instructions to successfully root your device.
Warning: The rooting and installing custom ROMs process may be riskful. You could brick your device. However, not to worry about warranty becoming void because it is a Xiaomi phone and they do cover the devices under warranty if rooted.
NOTE:
The root access is now available. Now, you can flash Custom ROMs and Xposed modules in your device. As we see, there are not many Custom ROMs as of now for the Snapdragon variant.
Warning: The rooting and installing custom ROMs process may be riskful. You could brick your device. However, not to worry about warranty becoming void because it is a Xiaomi phone and they do cover the devices under warranty if rooted.
NOTE:
- You need to have your bootloader unlocked in order to perform the below process. Click here to see the instructions to know how to unlock the bootloader.
- This method is only for the Snapdragon variant. Do not try this with other variants which you have bought from Chinese websites.
- Do follow the instructions step by step and read it thoroughly
- The process erases all the data including your internal storage. So, please take a complete back-up of your device before starting. (Recommended to root and install TWRP as soon as you unlock your bootloader).
- Make sure that your phone has at least 50% battery.
- ADB and Fastboot drivers for windows. � Download from XDA Forum
- TWRP 3.0.0 latest recovery for Redmi Note 3 � Download Thanks to Developers!
- SuperSu.zip copy it to your phone�s internal root directory � Download
- Verify your device for compatibility. The listed firmware is compatible with Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Snapdragon variant only. Also, take a complete backup of your device because the process will erase all the data.
- Enable USB Debugging on your device. To do so, go to Settings>About Phone> Tap on the MIUI version several times until you get a new Developer Options in the additional settings. Open Developer Options and enable USB Debugging from there. Trust the connection by allowing it when you connect it to your PC for the first time and check the always box there. Also, make sure that OEM Unlock is enabled in developer options.
- Connect your device to PC via USB with the above requirements.
- Boot your device into Fastboot mode.
- Extract the TWRP file that you have downloaded. It�s named as �Kenzo_V6.3.17_boot�.
- Open and run the Boot.bat file from the extracted folder and follow the instruction in setup. Your phone may or may not reboot after running the file. In either way, you have to boot it back to fasboot again.
- After entering into fastboot again, run the Twrp3.bat file and follow the instructions in setup. And then, your device will reboot into TWRP recovery.
- The default language in TWRP will be Chinese. So, consider the following screenshot and change the language.
- Now, after changing the language, swipe the button.
- Then, navigate to Install in TWRP recovery and select the SuperSu file that you have placed in the root directory of your internal storage. Swipe the button and reboot! You�re all done now.
The root access is now available. Now, you can flash Custom ROMs and Xposed modules in your device. As we see, there are not many Custom ROMs as of now for the Snapdragon variant.

Hello Guys, You were Curious To Root Your New Redmi 1s and probably solve all heating problems
Note - Im not Responsible for anything its your choice and work (Nothing will go wrong by the way, Ive tried it myself)
You need:
1 - The Phone Redmi 1s [Indian versions supported]
2 - Attachment "update.zip" (Download)
3 - SuperSU zip (Download)
To root your phone follow these steps:
Step 1: Download the attachment "update.zip" and place it in the INTERNAL storage of Redmi 1s
Step 2: Download the SuperSU zip and place it in EXTERNAL sdcard
Step 3: Go to updater app -> options menu -> reboot to recovery
Step 4: In the recovery menu choose english (volume buttons will help)
Step 5: Apply Update to system (something like that), confirm it using volume buttons and power button
Step 6: Reboot System
Step 7: After the boot completes go to the updater app again and reboot to recovery (ref step 3)
Step 8: Well you have Philz recovery loaded within no time and if you have used this recovery before in any other phone then its easy
Step 8.1: If you are doing it for first time, Use power button and volume button for selection and navigation - install zip ->Choose zip from external_sd (some times sdcard1) -> navigate down and choose the zip and say yes if prompted (All using power button(selection) and volume buttons(navigation)
Step 9: After flashing completes -> reboot system -> say yes for fixing recovery
Step 10: done!!! enjoy your rooted redmi 1s

4. Gapps For Android oreo Rom (Arm64) (Download from the given links below)
1. First take a full backup of your current rom in to your pc.
2. Download GZOSP Android oreo Rom for Redmi 3s/Prime/3X zip file and Download Gapps for Android oreo rom from the given links on your pc.

3. Boot your phone into recovery mode using key combinations like Turn off your Redmi 3S /Prime /3X Phone and press Volume up + volume Down + power key At the same. When the Mi logo spear release the keys.

5. Now move your files from the pc (GZOSP Android oreo Rom file and Gapps)
6. Now go to install section and select GZOSP Android oreo rom file and flash it. It will take some time to flash.

- First of all download the RedMiNote_rootonly_rel .zip file and keep the file on your desktop.

Redmi Note 3 is a brand new and the current flagship device from Xiaomi.So if you own this device and want to make the most out of it and looking forward to root, customize with TWRP or a custom ROM, then the very first step you need to go through is unlocking the bootloader.
What will change after locking bootloader?
- Locking bootloader will not affect normal OTA updates;
- ROOT will be disabled if user has enabled it before. Enabling ROOT will need to unlock bootloader;
- Recovery mode is changed. Updating via Recovery will need to use Mi PC Suite;
- After unlocking, the device can do all the things as before we locked bootloader.
- Devices with locked bootloader can not update using Miflash. Users need to unlock bootloader if they want to flash Fastboot ROMs.
Before you proceed, please note that Xiaomi unlocked their phone�s bootloader for reasons. Therefore, if you don�t know much about Android, don�t intend to flash custom ROM, etc., then it is very not recommended for you to unlock it.
How to unlock the bootloader of Redmi Note 3?
Step 1 � Open up your favorite web browser in your computer (Chrome is recommended) then go to this url http://en.miui.com/unlock/.
Step 2 � You�ll see the official page of �Unlock Your Mi Device�. Now simply click on the blue �Unlock Now� Button in the middle of the page.
Step 3 � You�ll see a login page in the next page which is in Chinese. If you use Google Chrome to open the page, then you can simply use its built-in Google Translate feature.
Step 4 � Once logged in, you�ll see the Unlock Application Permissions page
Step 5 � Now simply fill in all required fields then click on that green Apply Immediately button.
Step 6 � In the next page, you�ll need to enter a verification code sent to you via SMS. Check your phone for any SMS verification sent by Xiaomi server. The code is usually valid for only 5 minutes so you need to enter it immediately.
Step 7 � Once you have submitted the 6 digits code, you�ll then be redirected to another page saying that from the point toward all you need to do is just waiting for Xiaomi Developers to review and approve your application. Once approved, you�ll get another SMS which normally arrives between 3 to 21 days. The approval process is manual so just be patient on this.
However for some people might still experience slight problem with their applications. Please do not complain if the above steps didn�t work because unlocking the bootloader is simply not magic trick. If you did receive the SMS that your unlock permission has been approved but your device still rejected it, then I can suggest you to contact their developer directly here or here.
