- Forgotten pattern lock in Samsung Android mobile phones.
- Forgotten user code.
- Forgotten phone code.
- Before or after installing new firmware updates into your device.
- You want to delete all your personal information from your device in case you want to sell it.

What to do before performing the Hard Reset?
- In case your Samsung mobile phone can connect to a computer then it is better to make a backup of your saved data using Samsung kies software.
- Check that your phones battery has enough charging, Otherwise you should charge it.

Samsung S7562 Galaxy S Duos Hard Reset Steps:

- Make sure that your Samsung S7562 Galaxy S Duos is Off, And has no SIM or Memory cards are inside.
- Take out its battery for 10 seconds, Then put it in again.
- Press and hold Volume Up + Volume Down + Home Keys, Then press Power.
- Keep pressing the above keys until Samsung logo appears,Then release all keys.
- Wait until you are into Factory reset / System Recovery menu.
- Use Volume Down key to scroll down and select Wipe Data / Factory Reset option.
- Use Power button to confirm the operation.
- You need to use the Volume Down key again to select "Yes -- delete all user data"
- Use Power button to confirm the operation one more time.
- After performing the hard reset, Select Reboot System Now option, And confirm it using Power button.
- Now the phone will reboots, Wait for it to be fully on and then you can start using it.

Notice: The Hard Reset / Factory Reset operation will delete anything that are saved in your phones internal memory, So make a backup of your data in case you can access them.

It has an Update for JellyBean and its internal Memory is Expandable up to 32 GB , well we have nothing to do with specifications , We are Here For ROOTING this Device . As a Phone like this one is a waste without Rooting (Sorry if one dont agree , its my personal Experience ) . Before Proceeding with the ROOTING Procedure , You must know what actually ROOTING is , its Advantages and Disadvantages . ROOTING is the Process of breaking the Stock firmware and getting ROOT access (Access to File System ) After Rooting you will be able to play HD games on your Device , Increase your Internal Memory , Overclock processor and much more ! Whereas the main disadvantage of ROOTING is that this would Void your Warranty .

Things you Need :-
  • Samsung USB Drivers :- Get HERE (thats Samsung kies , if you already have do not install )
  • Download Pdanet And Get Instructions From Here :- HERE
  • A USB Data cable , Compatible with your Phone .
  • Rooting Tool :- HERE
Procedure  :-
  • Enable USB Debugging In your Device (Present in Settings >Development) , dont turn it off until you are done with ROOTING. This Enables the Phones Firmware to Enable Development on your Music Duos . it is a Good practice to have it enabled even after your phone is Rooted . 
  • Install Drivers of your Samsung Galaxy Music Duos using Pdanet (Read the Instructions Above) . Choose Samsung  After you have Installed Drivers Do not Disconnect Cable , leave it as it is ! 
  • Download and Extract the Rooting tool [It is a Software to ROOT most Of the ICS and JB Devices] . After you have extracted , run the runme.bat file . it will ask which type you want to run (Normal Or special) , Select Normal by Entering 1 .
  • let it Continue ... if The Command prompt asks for any other key press , press it accordingly . your device will reboot many times during the process do not Worry , its normal .
  • After the Process is Complete , Reboot your SGMD Manually . Voila !! you will see Superuser installed in your App drawer . 

EXPECTED ERRORS :-
As i Do not own the device im imagining the errors that may occur :-
  • If your Device is Not Detected By Command prompt , You Have To Install Android SDK Which can be Downloaded from here  and JDK from HERE . 
  • After the Above two are installed open the android SDK , select the Android SDK platform tools and the Google USB drivers (Available in Extras) , And install them ! (Note: Un-mark all other ) and then try ! If you cant understand the Above steps heres a Detailed Article about it > HERE
  • If your phone Do not Get Rooted in the First try , Reboot it and try Again .

The Galaxy Y Pro and the Galaxy Y Pro Duos are some really affordable handsets that have a major advantage over other Android phones in their segment � a full QWERTY keypad.  In case of the Galaxy Y Pro Duos, users have the added advantage of using two SIMs simultaneously which would make carrying two different devices unnecessary.  We�ll show you how to root both of these devices without breaking a sweat in the following guide.

I.  Before You Begin

1.  You need to have updated drivers from Samsung.  You can install these automatically by installing Samsung Kies.
2.  There�s no real need to back up anything as this will not need a data wipe, but do so just in case you run into problems.
3.  Download the Universal GB Root file.

II.  Rooting the Galaxy Y Pro and the Galaxy Y Pro Duos

1.  Enable USB Debugging on your device.  You can do this by heading to Settings > Applications > USB Debugging and checking the tickbox next to it.
2.  Connect your device to the Windows PC.
3.  Put your device in USB Storage Mode and copy the universal_gb_root_v15.zip file you downloaded above to the topmost folder on your SD card.  You can put your device into this mode by selecting USB Storage when your device prompts you for the type of connection when connected.
4.  Disconnect the device and power it down.
5.  Put the device into Recovery Mode.  To do this, hold Volume Up and the Home buttons simultaneously and press the power button.  Now, hold all three buttons until the device boots into Recovery.
6.  From the Recovery Menu, select �apply update from SD card�.  Use Volume Up and Down to navigate and the Home button to select the desired option.
7.  Navigate to universal_gb_root_v15.zip and select it by pressing the Home button.
8.  Wait until you see the message �Install from SD complete�.
9.  Select �reboot system now�.
Your Galaxy Y Pro or the Pro Duos should be rooted once you reboot the device.  Check for the Superuser app in the app drawer or download Root Checker from Google Play to know root status.  To take things further, like installing custom ROMs and other things, you might want to flash ClockworkMod Recovery which you can do so by following our guide located here.

Samsung S5282 Galaxy Star Duos Firmware Update Steps:

- Turn off the phone.
- Take out any SIM cards or memory card of it.
- Run Odin.exe program.
- Check the following settings: Re-Partition, Auto Reboot, F.Reset Time.
- Click PHONE button and select: MODEM_S5282xxxxx_REV03.tar
- Put your Samsung S5282 Galaxt Star Duos device into Download Mode:
Press and Hold Volume Down key + Home key + Power key, When you see the warning message release all keys, And press Volume Up key to enter the phone into Download Mode.
- Connect the device to your PC using the USB cable.
- Wait for Windows to install the needed USB drivers.
- Look at Odins window and check if the COM port of your device is detected (0:[COMxxx]).
- Click on Start button.
- Odin will install the new firmware files into your Galaxy Star Duos, Just wait for it to be done.
- The device will be rebooted after installing the new firmware.
- Look at Odins window and if you see PASS! Word then the update was successful.
- Disconnect the USB cable from phone.
- Wait for the device to be fully on and check the new firmware version bu this code *#1234#
- Now you can turn the mobile off, Insert SIM Cards, Memory card, Then turn it on again.
- When the device is on again you are free to customize it and restore your backup (In case you have made one), Then enjoy your perfect work.
