How to track the original location of an email via its IP address
How to track the original location of an email via its IP address
Heres a quick how-to guide on how you can track email to its originating locationby figuring out the emails IP address and looking it up. I have found this to be quite useful on many occasions for verification purposes since I receive lots of emails daily due to my blog. Tracking the IP address of an email sender does require looking at some technical details, so be ready to dig your heels in!
There are basically two steps involved in the process of tracking an email: find the IP address in the email header section and then look up the location of the IP address.
Finding the IP address of an email sender in GMail, Yahoo Mail, and Outlook
Lets go ahead and take a look at how you would do this for Google, Yahoo and Outlook since those are the most popular email clients
Googles Gmail
1. Log into your account and open the email in question.
2. Click on the down arrow thats to the right of the Reply link. Choose Show Original from the list.
Now heres the technical part that I was telling you about earlier! You need to look for the lines of text that start with Received: from. It might be easier to simply press Cntrl + F and perform a search for that phase. Youll notice that there are several Received Froms in the message header. This is because the message header contains the IP addresses of all of servers involved in routing that email to you.

To find the first computer that originally sent the email, youll have to find the Received From thats farthest DOWN. As you can see from the above image, the first one is from a computer called aseem with the IP address 72.204.154.191. Then it was routed to my ISPs server at eastrmmtao104.cox.net and so on and so forth till it got to your email server.
The computer aseem is my personal home computer and thats my public IP address for my house! Ill go through Yahoo and Outlook before talking about tracking the location of that IP address.
Yahoo Mail Beta
1. Log into your account and open the email (if youre using Yahoo Mail Beta with the new preview interface, make sure you double-click on the email so that it opens in a new tab)
2. At the top right, youll see there is a drop-down option where Standard Headeris selected by default.
3. Click on it and choose Full Header.
Again, youll see the same information as before, just in a different window:
Microsoft Outlook
1. Open the email in Outlook by double-clicking on it
2. Go to View at the top menu (the menu options for the email, not the main Outlook window) and choose Options.
Youll get a dialog box where you can set the message options and at the bottom youll see the Internet Headers box. For some silly reason, the box is very small and you have to scroll a lot, so its best to simply copy and paste the text into Notepad to view it more easily.
Tracking the location of an IP address
Now that we have our originating IP address of 72.204.154.191, lets find out where that is! You can do this by perform a location lookup on the IP address. My favorites are IP2Location and GeoBytes IP Locator.
GeoBytes gave me a big map of New Orleans, LA along with a bunch of other information about the location itself.
IP2Location also gave me the same information pretty much, including the ISP (Cox Communications). Of course, this is correct since I live in New Orleans!
If you want more information, you can do a WHOIS database search also. My favorite one is the ARIN WHOIS Database Search. This will give you information on who hosts that IP address and their registration information. You can always contact them to try and find more information on that particular IP address.
Have fun tracking down those emails! Questions, comments, or suggestions? Post a comment!

How to track a lost or stolen android smartphone using GPS

How many of you know that you can track your android smartphone if it is stolen or lose. Yes it is possible, not only tracking the phone, also you can erase all data in the phone, ability to change your screen unlock password and the ability to lock the screen remotely. Dont worry if your smartphone is not connected to the internet because GPS works even when the device isnt connected to the internet.
The android smartphone we are tracking using a feature called Android Device Manager. Most android devices which release after 2014 have a built in feature called Android Device Manager. This service constantly pings your devices location back to Googles servers so that Google knows where your device is. You can then use Googles web interface to see where your device is at any given time.
1. Navigate to Androids Settings..
2. Under Personal, tap Security..
3. Under Device Administration, tap Device Administrators..
4. Tap Android Device Manager..
5. Tap Activate.
Once all done you need to open a web browser and navigate to the Android Device Manager dashboard (https://www.google.co.in/android/devicemanager), and sign into your account (the same one associated with your device). and click the locate device button. it will show the last known location.

I am back on track!
I am back on track!
It has finally happened- I am sewing again!!!!!!
Firstly, I would like to thank everyone who were so supportive helping me get through the dry spell in sewing. Thank you! And- it worked in the most unexpected way.

It looks very retro at the back too- I am loving the shape, what do you call that in English again? Like something from the early 20th century I think.

Firstly, I would like to thank everyone who were so supportive helping me get through the dry spell in sewing. Thank you! And- it worked in the most unexpected way.

Oonabaloona advised me to cut my favourite fabric, and so I did. Here it is, a sheer crepe with a light velvety animal print. I have to admit, I was terrified to cut this piece for ages, two years to be exact. I was afraid it will be a nightmare to work with and also was not sure of the best pattern.
20 seconds of extreme insanity and I decided to make a so-often-mentioned-on-this-blog peplum top. My first attempt (THAT self-drafted pattern) was disappointing, and I was seriously considering ditching the whole idea, but I love this trend, and it would kill me not to try once more!
August Burda style magazine was staring at me for days, with a lovely yellow peplum top on the cover. And it won, I traced the pattern and cut the fabric. Two weeks later, I got up early and locked myself in my workshop- and voila!!!!
I cut size 34, omitted the sleeves and added a satin binding around the neckline- very cute detail, I think. The pattern was extremely easy to use, and I am quite happy with the shape.

| pardon the visible bra- it is supposed to be nude, but I have been tanning like crasy recently, so it looks very pale on me! LOL! |

How to track who visited my facebook profile
How to track who visited my facebook profile

Everyone likes to know who has visited their Facebook profile.Whether the person maybe a boy or a girl, they tend to have a desire to find out who has visited their Facebook profile as they are filled with these common questions- Whether my crush checks my profile? , Which girl/Boy always views my profile? and so on But i have seen many people trying to use 3rd party software which produce appropriate results are just spams. You cant determine who exactly is looking at your profile on a regular basis, you can determine who you interact with the most and who Facebook thinks your closest friends are. If you find someone in the list that you dont interact with them often, they may be expressing interest in your status updates (with likes, comments, or views). Follow these simple steps and you are done.
1. Go to your timeline and open view page source.
2. Right click on your timeline and select view page source. This should take you to the new page.
3. There Press CTRL+F and you will open a box in the right corner. There search for the word Initialchatfriendslist.
4. Next to it you will see a lot of ids, they are nothing but the profile ids. The numbers which immediately follow are the identification numbers of the profiles. You will see a set of numbers, each set in quotations and followed by -0?, -2?, or -3?. Copy the string without the and the final number. Paste this after the facebook.com/ when looking at the main Facebook page. This will bring up the profile so you know who it belongs to.
eg: if 111111-2 is the string copy 111111 and open a new tab and type facebook.com/paste then press enter.Thats it you are done.
