How to Install deb File iPhone iPod iPad Cydia Tutorial
3 Methods to install a .deb file into your iDevice [iPhone (3G/3Gs/4), iPod touch (3G/4G), iPad and iPad 2]. Select the easier for you :
�Steps 2 and 3 are only if you never installed a .deb file with this method�
1st Method: AutoInstallation [Recommended]
- Download iFunbox >> (www.i-funbox.com) Windows , or Cyberduck for MacOS
- Run iFunbox and connect your iDevice (iPhone, iPod, iPad or iPad 2)
- iFunBox will show your device contents, Now navigate to var/root/Media/
- Create the folder Cydia/AutoInstall (if not already created)
- Move .deb file from your desktop to var/root/Media/Cydia/AutoInstall
- Close iFile, reboot your iDevice
- YOU ARE DONE
2nd Method: Install with iFile [Recommended]
Requirements: iFile and Safari Download Manager required- Run Safari and type the address which contains the .deb file
- Click on the link of the .deb file >> Download
- After finishing download, click on the file in the dowloaded files list >> Open with iFile >> Installer
- YOU ARE DONE
3rd Method: Install with Mobile Terminal
Requirements: Mobile Terminal and OpenSSH�Steps 2 and 3 are only if you never installed a .deb file with this method�
- Download the .deb file you want (example : LockInfo)
- Start Cydia, go to �Search�, type �Mobile Terminal� and install it
- Repeat step 2 for �OpenSSH�
- Start �MobileTerminal�
- Type the following commands , then reboot:
su (press return)
alpine (press return) /! You won�t see the typed password then don�t worry /!
dpkg -i nameofpackage.deb (press return, replace nameofpackage with LockInfo for the example)
Note that you can rename the .deb file like 1.deb (it�s easier to type)

If the theme is a compressed folder (.zip/.rar) file,follow the steps:

- Installing theme via Cydia: Very easy, you will tap (install button) and that is it.
- Installing an external theme: �Themes you have downloaded from the web� The downloaded themes are either .deb or a compressed folder (.zip/.rar)
How to Install .deb File [iPhone/iPod/iPad Cydia Tutorial]
If the theme is a compressed folder (.zip/.rar) file,follow the steps:
- Download iFunbox >> (www.i-funbox.com) Windows , or Cyberduck for MacOS
- Download the compressed folder (.zip/.rar) which contains the theme
- Unzip the folder into your desktop, then run iFunbox and connect/SSH into your iDevice (iPhone/iPad)
- iFunBox will show your device contents, Now navigate to
(Var > Stash > Themes) for Springboard/Complete/Lockscreen Themes
(Root > User > Library > SBSettings > Themes) for SBSettings Themes
- Drop (move) the extracted folder>> the whole folder =
theme_name.theme for Springboard/Complete/Lockscreen Themes
theme_name for SBSettings Themes
from your desktop to iFunBox window >>
( /Var/Stash/Themes) for Springboard/Complete/Lockscreen Themes
(Root/User/Library/SBSettings/Themes) for SBSettings Themes
- Run WinterBoard/Select the theme
- Respring
- You Are Done
- I can not find var/root?
- I can not SSH into my iPhone/iPad?
- I have jailbroken device, my SSH client is discovering my iPhone/iPad as (JAILED)?
Install OpenSSH, reboot, then try again. If you still have the problem>> Install afc2add from Cydia then reboot.

Hello viewers Apple just released IOS 7.1.2 for iPhone, Ipad and Ipod Touch for bug fixes and security updates. Now lot of people are worried about jailbreaking their device as it has always been the case for jail breakers. However the good news is that iOS 7.1.2 can be jailbroken using Pangu out of the box like ios 7.1.1, so jailbreakers can safely update your iOS device to iOS 7.1.2, and use Pangu to jailbreak it.
There are some important points before you proceed to jailbreak your device. Please note Pangu is an untethered jailbreak for iOS 7.1, iOS 7.1.1 and iOS 7.1.2, which is really good because you dont have to connect your devices with pc again and again to restart your device.
Pangu supports following iOS 7.1 � iOS 7.1.2 devices:
iPhone 5s, iPhone 5c, iPhone 5, iPhone 4S, iPhone 4,iPad Air, iPad 4, iPad 3, iPad 2, iPad mini, Retina iPad mini iPod touch 5G.
PROCEDURES TO FOLLOW BEFORE JAILBREAK:
- Please disable the passcode as the jailbreak may fail, if the passcode is enabled (Settings -> General -> Passcode Lock On -> Turn Passcode Off).
- Take a backup of your device using iTunes or iCloud before proceeding.
- Please ensure you�ve updated iTunes to the latest version.
- Please note that jailbreaking your IOS device may void your warranty and hence proceed with caution and at your own risk.
STEPS TO JAILBREAK:
Step 1: Download the latest version of Pangu jailbreak for Mac or Windows
If the above links are not working go directly to pangu site for downloading pangu jailbreak
Step 2:
Mac users: Double click on the Pangu dmg file you just downloaded to mount it.
Windows users: Launch the Pangu exe file as an Administrator. Right Click on the Pangu exe and select the �Run as Administrator� .
Step 3: You should be presented with a screen like the one seen below. Click on the black Jailbreak button.

Step 4: Follow the on-screen instructions. The app will ask you at one point to set your iOS device to June 2nd. To do this, go to Settings -> General -> Date & Time(If you have enabled Automatic time zone enable it and then change a date).
Step 5: After you change the date, it should restart the process and install the Pangu app on your iOS device. Dont worry you can change the date after jailbreaking your device, this is for jailbreaking the device only.
Step 6: Tap on the Pangu app on the Home screen of your device when prompted to continue with the jailbreak process. You will get a warning message, which will ask you whether you are �sure you want to open the Application �Pangu� from Developer �iPhone Distribution: Hefei Bo Fang communication technology co., LTD?�. Tap on theContinue button to continue with the jailbreak process.
Step 7: Wait for your device to reboot several times dont panic until you see done on pangu software. After a few minutes you should see that you have Cydia on your home screen and you�ll be ready to start installing tweaks on iOS 7.1.2. However sometimes when you open Cydia for first time devices gets restarted, but no worries its a normal process.

How to Restore an iPod
Does your iPod sometimes get so messed up that a simple restart wont fix it, and getting an appointment at the Apple Store will take 2 weeks�only to have some genius tell you that you need to restore your iPod? Skip the wait, avoid the lines, and do it yourself. This guide will show you how to restore any iPod. The iPod Touch section will also work for any iPhone or iPad.
Method 1 of 2: Restoring an iPod Touch
1:Connect your iPod Touch to the computer. Open iTunes on your computer. Make sure that iTunes has been updated to the latest available version.
2:Select your device. It should be listed in the left frame of the iTunes window. If you don�t have the frame open, you can select your device from the dropdown menu in the top-right corner of iTunes.
If your iPod is not detected by iTunes when you connect it to your computer, you may need to put it into DFU mode before you can restore it.
3:Click the Restore button. This button can be found in the Summary tab once you select your device. You will be asked if you would like to perform a backup. Click yes if you would like to save your data, settings, and apps. Your device will begin automatically backing up. When it is finished, the device will reboot.
Data synced with iTunes will not be backed up and will need to be resynced later
4:Select how you would like to restore. If you want to reload your apps, settings, and data, select either Restore from iCloud Backup or Restore from iTunes Backup. You will then be given an option to choose the backup to restore from. If you�d like to restore your device to the original factory settings, select Set Up as New Device.
When choosing your restore method, choose the option that gives you access to the backup that you want to restore.
5:Wait for the restore process to complete. This may take several minutes. The device will display the progress and the time remaining on the screen.
6:Enter your Apple ID. When you begin using your device again, you will need to enter your Apple ID and password in order to access your apps and cloud data.[1]
