Good news . Now you can root micromax canvas 5 E481.
first read the whole process understand and then do carefully . Although the process is safe and simple but requires basic knowledge. first download the requisite files then perform step by step. I will try to make it as simple as possible to root micromax canvas 5.
Although the process is safe but I am not responsible for any kind of damage to your micromax canvas 5. Do it at your own risk.
Preparation to root micromax canvas 5 with help of pc :
Charge your micromax canvas 5 upto 80%
take full backup of your micromax canvas 5(rooting process will factory reset your micromax canvas 5)
download adb minimal & fastboot tool and install it on your pc download here (or just google to get the tool)
download 15 sec adb installer and install the driver on pc. download herewhile installation of driver press y all the time to complete the installation.
Rooting micromax canvas 5 involves 3 steps
first step UNLOCK BOOTLOADER
1) Open developer option in your phone settings (to enable devloper option go to settings>about phone>build number. tick 8 times on build no, it will say congrats you are a developer now. now in settings you can see developer option)
2)now tick oem unlocking and usb debugging mode on in your canvas 5(in developer options).
3)connect the canvas 5 to pc with usb cable.
4)open adb minimal on pc and run command <adb reboot-bootloader> . (now you can see blank screen of phone with fastboot mode indication in lower corner).
5)then enter command <fastboot oem unlock> . select yes with vol + button
6)then select reboot. this will factory reset your canvas 5(note if canvas 5 is not responding then press and hold power button till phone shut down) . if phone is factory reset it means process successful and bootloader is unlocked. to confirm run this command <fastboot getvar all> check bootloader unlocked status.
7)download and copy the super su to phone memory root folder from herehttps://download.chainfire.eu/897/SuperSU/BETA-SuperSU-v2.67-20160121175247.zip
step 2 FLASH CUSTOM RECOVERY
1) download custom recovery from here https://www.sendspace.com/file/4g87bj
2) extract the image file and put it in the installation folder of adb minimal.
3)run adb minimal and run command <adb reboot-bootloader>
4)then run command <fastboot flash recovery recovery-custom-wiko-fever.img>
5) when flashing is done then switch off the canvas 5 by press and holding power button.
6)then reboot in recovery by holding vol+ and power button until the carliv recovery appears.
step 3 INSTALLING SUPER SU
1)install super su zip from phone memory.
2)reboot and dont select fix root instead select no( in future reboots from recovery also always select no.)
3)after boot start super su and configure
congrats you have rooted your micromax canvas 5 .
