HTC to launch Android 5 0 in the coming days
HTC to launch Android 5 0 in the coming days

Soon after the launch of Android 5.0 Lollipop OS, HTC had announced to release the new firmware to flagship One series smartphones, now a report has surfaced online that the Taiwanese company is evaluating options to rollout the same to other devices as well.
Technology blog, LlabTooFeR has gotten hold of the internal document of HTC containing the Android 5.0 Lollipop release schedule for smartphones.
It said that the companys Google Play edition models -HTC One M7 and M8 will be the first devices to taste the sugary sweetness of the new Android Lollipop OS as early as next-month or by December end. Whereas the Sense UI based models will be second in the line to receive the new OS update in early 2015 (January or by February).
Others, such as HTC One (M7 and M8) dual-SIM models, the newly released Desire Eye, Butterfly 2, One E8 (both single and dual-SIM variants), Mini 2, Desire 816, HTC One Max, One Mini (Gen 1.), Butterfly (Gen 2.) are slated to get updates between January and May next year.
The website also added that the company is evaluating options to provide Android Lollipop update to MediaTek CPU powered Desire series smartphones as well.
Though there is no tangible evidence to prove the authenticity of the report, LlabTooFeRs previous proven track-record is enough to believe that this might turn true in the coming days.
Even a few weeks ago, HTC had initiated a promotional campaign- HTC Advantage, a pledge that the company took to provide software support, as well as some value-added services to premium devices for two years.
